Here’s a newer piece in my Symbiosis series. It’s actually the oldest one; at about a year old. For most of that time, I had it on display in our living room. My friend Angelique at A. Ell Atelier on Kauai really wanted to display it, so I shipped it over to her. She’s got a great shop over there. I need to get back. Enjoy.
I’ve been a fan of Alex Weinstein’s artwork for many years. I had the pleasure of meeting him at an art show a few years back; he impressed me with how personable he was. It’s quite refreshing when you meet someone with immense artistic talent and insight, who’s also humble and approachable. Alex seems to be that rare combination.

A friend in Santa Barbara recently gave me this piece of redwood that was lying around in his yard. I sanded and rid it of some dry rot and found a very nice painting surface.
